About

This blog celebrates monospaced fonts for programming.

So many fonts have popped up in recent years. And so many of them can be used for free, even those from designers like Steve Matteson, Mark Simonson and foundries like Monotype.

More about programming fonts

With all the shiny new stuff it’s a bit outdated, but Jeff Artwork (aka Codinghorror) wrote a wonderful overview (and an update).

This list on Slant and Hivelogic have also been valuable resources.

There is also this overview of 42 programming fonts. It includes a number of old school bitmap fonts like Dina.
