Back in Saudi Arabia for LEAP for the third year in a row — and every time, I leave inspired.🇸🇦 Football was a huge chapter of my life, but it was never going to be the only one. Since retiring, I have had to learn how to transfer the same discipline, hunger, leadership and resilience I had on the pitch into business, entrepreneurship and new ventures. That transition has taught me a lot — about taking risks, adapting, building the right team around you and never being afraid to start again in a completely different space. It is a real privilege to be invited back to LEAP and have the opportunity to share that journey, the lessons behind it and the mindset that continues to drive me today. Thank you to the LEAP team and everyone in Saudi Arabia for the warm welcome once again. After a few days of rest and reflections, it is very clear to me that we had a great few days at #LEAP2026, with some really interesting conversations about where networks are heading. 🇸🇦 I had the opportunity to meet with customers, partners and colleagues from across the region and hear different perspectives on the demands being placed on networks as digital transformation accelerates. A few thoughts I’m taking away: ▶️The growth of AI-driven applications and changing traffic patterns means networks need to become more automated, responsive and efficient. ▶️As businesses introduce new digital services, networks need to adapt quickly, providing the capacity, reliability and capabilities needed for increasingly demanding use cases. ▶️From consumer experiences and industrial automation to mission-critical applications, we’re seeing connectivity become an increasingly important part of how businesses operate and deliver services. And perhaps most importantly, the requirements are different for every customer and every industry. That’s why conversations like those at LEAP matter. They help us understand not just where technology is going, but what customers actually need from their networks today. Ericsson has been part of Saudi Arabia’s digital journey for nearly 50 years. It’s encouraging to see the ambition for what comes next, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with our customers and partners across the region to make that next chapter possible.
