    Diffuse

    Diffuse

A music player that connects to your cloud/distributed storage

A music player that connects to your cloud/distributed storage, in the form of a static, serverless, web application. Diffuse is a static web application, which means it's just HTML, CSS, and Javascript. No REST API, database, or anything backend-related is involved. The app uses a hash (aka. fragment-based) routing system, so you don't need any special server rules for routing. You can download a pre-build web-only version of Diffuse on the releases page.

    OGRE

    OGRE

    scene-oriented, flexible 3D engine (C++, Python, C#, Java)

...The respective shaders are generated by the RTSS component with per-pixel specular lighting. Therefore the legacy render systems naturally have differences due to the use of fixed-function. However, when rendering diffuse surface both produce pixel-perfect results. Simple, easy to use OO interface designed to minimise the effort required to render 3D scenes, and to be independent of 3D implementation i.e. Direct3D/OpenGL.

    QuadRay-engine

Realtime raytracer using SIMD on ARM, MIPS, PPC and x86

QuadRay engine is a realtime raytracing project aimed at full SIMD utilization on ARM, MIPS, POWER and x86 architectures. The efficient use of SIMD is achieved by processing four rays at a time to match SIMD register width (hence the name). The rendering core of the engine is written in a unified SIMD assembler allowing single assembler code to be compatible with different processor architectures, thus reducing the need to maintain multiple parallel versions. At present, Intel...

    TPLS

    TPLS

High Resolution Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) of Two-Phase Flows

...This flow solver has been developed by Lennon Ó Náraigh (Mathematical Sciences, University College Dublin), Prashant Valluri (Engineering, University of Edinburgh), David Scott, Toni Collis and Iain Bethune (EPCC at the University of Edinburgh) and Peter Spelt (Université de Lyon1, Claude Bernard) under the aegis of several HECToR / ARCHER / ARCHER2 computer time grants, dCSE/eCSE programmes and the EU project EXCELLERAT. The Diffuse Interface Method is now used as the primary method of locating the interface. Evaporation and condensation can now be modelled. Domains with up to 300,000,000 cells have been simulated. We also provide a simplified version of the code 'S-TPLS' to help new users understand the code structure and algorithms. The next step will be to include a model of boiling.

    toastpp Slab

    toastpp Slab

Solve the diffuse optical tomography (DOT) problem in a slab geometry.

Using TOAST++, the DOT problem is solved in a slab geometry. The forward solution at various detector positions is compared to the analytical solution to the diffusion equation. The analytical solution was calculated using different boundary conditions than those used by TOAST++, so the solutions are similar but not exactly the same. The code is written in MATLAB, and the steps are split into .m files. The steps are: 1. Generate slab nodes 2a. Generate mesh with tetgen 2b. Check...

    Abaqus Implementation of Phase Field

Abaqus implementation of phase--field model for brittle fracture

...The phase-field method considerably reduces the implementation complexity for fracture problems as it removes the need for numerical tracking of discontinuities in the displacement field that are characteristic of discrete crack methods. This is accomplished by replacing the sharp discontinuities with a scalar damage phase-field representing the diffuse crack topology wherein the amount of diffusion is controlled by a regularization parameter. The nonlinear coupled system consisting of the linear momentum equation and a diffusion-type equation governing the phase-field evolution is solved simultaneously via a Newton–Raphson approach. The implemented crack propagation model does not require predefined paths for crack growth or user-defined surfaces to simulate crack debonding. ...

    Cerebellum Granule Neuron model

This is a detailed NEURON Model for a cerebellum granule cell.

...Here we show that, in cerebellar granule cells, Na+ channels are enriched in the axon, especially in the hillock, but almost absent from soma and dendrites. Numerical simulations indicated that granule cells have a compact electrotonic structure allowing EPSPs to diffuse with little attenuation from dendrites to axon. The spike arose almost simultaneously along the whole axonal ascending branch and invaded the hillock, whose activation promoted spike back-propagation with marginal delay (<200 micros) and attenuation (<20 mV) into the somato-dendritic compartment. For details check the cited article. ...
