    Freebasic Beginners Guide

An updated Beginners guide to FreeBASIC

The purpose of this project is to create and update a beginners guide to FreeBASIC. Over the years I have noticed that there was only three real ways to learn FreeBASIC. The FreeBASIC Documentation, the FreeBASIC Community Forum, and A old beginners guide written by Richard D. Clark and Ebben Feagan. Each of these sources are great, but they all assume some experience with a programming language. This Project is taking Richard D. Clark's and Ebben Feagan's "A Beginner's Guide to FreeBasic" and is editing, updating, reorganizing, and simplifying this guide. Mr. Clark and Mr. Feagan generously open sourced there guide so I could start this project. Without being able to stand on their shoulders I could not have even started this project. Please check out my homepage for updated information and ways you can help with this ongoing project. If you can please buy me a hamburger as it is hard writing a book.

    Emeritus Pong

    Emeritus Pong

A clone of the good old "Pong" game.

Emeritus Pong is a clone of the good old "Pong" game. It tries to be relatively close to the original, therefore no fancy graphic or astonishing sound effects there. Emeritus Pong is written to be able to run on any modern PC. There are three versions available: DOS, Windows and Linux. Emeritus Pong features also a cool demo mode, which makes it playing against itself, displaying the current time as scores. The game is programmed to run flawlessly on any modern PC, but it will run on older architectures, too. A 90 MHz Pentium CPU and 2 Mb of RAM should be enough to run comfortably the DOS version. Emeritus Pong may run in any usual resolution, ranging from 320x240 to 1280x1024, fullscreen or windowed. If you would like to use any other video mode (not available from the game's setup), you will have to manually edit the empong.cfg configuration file. Windows and Linux versions require a sound card for sound, and DOS version simply uses the internal PC Speaker.

linear and nonlinear static analysis of 3-dimensional frames

Sour*eforge.net has become inaccesible to me because of Cl*udflare. The latest versions of the programs will be on my site: https://matei.one/. Linear and nonlinear (from version 2.0.0) finite element analysis of 3-dimensional frames, trusses and other such structures, designed for use in civil engineering. SDL 1.2 or 2 can be used for graphics and an executable file for Window$ is included in version 2.1.0, as well as a program for analysing 2-dimensional structures, written in Sinclair BASIC for ZX Spectrum computers. A free emulator written in JavaScript, i.e. JSSpeccy v1, which was tested in FIrefox 10 from 2012 (and obviously works in all later versions), is also provided.

    Bingo Cards

    Bingo Cards

Prepare bingo cards game for any educational purpose.

The idea is simple. Instead of solving exercises in serial form in the classroom, it is better to wrap the solving exercises experience with a game similar to Bingo. The students will love it and the teacher will have a very nice time! This extension provides Calc with a tool able to create Bingo Cards and the corresponding interactive document to play the game in the classroom. The teacher type in the Bingo sheet the questions and the corresponding answers and he/she gets the cards in the Bingo Cards sheet. A printer is required to print the BINGO cards and a scissor to cut them apart while the classroom should be equipped with a projector and a computer running OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Download BingoCards-3.1.4.zip and unzip in your computer. Please install the APPROPRIATE .oxt for your system, the other versions will NOT work! Some representative examples are included. For any comments do not hesitate to contact me at epdiamantopoulos@yahoo.
