Emeritus Pong
A clone of the good old "Pong" game.
Emeritus Pong is a clone of the good old "Pong" game. It tries to be relatively close to the original, therefore no fancy graphic or astonishing sound effects there. Emeritus Pong is written to be able to run on any modern PC. There are three versions available: DOS, Windows and Linux. Emeritus Pong features also a cool demo mode, which makes it playing against itself, displaying the current time as scores. The game is programmed to run flawlessly on any modern PC, but it will run on older architectures, too. A 90 MHz Pentium CPU and 2 Mb of RAM should be enough to run comfortably the DOS version. Emeritus Pong may run in any usual resolution, ranging from 320x240 to 1280x1024, fullscreen or windowed. If you would like to use any other video mode (not available from the game's setup), you will have to manually edit the empong.cfg configuration file. Windows and Linux versions require a sound card for sound, and DOS version simply uses the internal PC Speaker. -

Mateusz's Saucy Editor (MSEDIT) is a simple editor working in the DOS environment. I decided to write it, because I had been using the Microsoft's EDIT editor for years, without finding any free alternative. Of course, there is plenty of free DOS editors out there, but no one has ever matched my expectations (or should I say, my taste). I guess that's because I had already been "formatted" by the MS editor :-) You will probably notice that MSEDIT is very similar to Microsoft's EDIT. That's a pure coincidence, and there is no connection at all between both of them. -

Usage: qbasdown Markdown_file qbasdown Markdown_file --verbose qbasdown Markdown_file --silent ~~~ Written for FreeDOS in QuickBASIC 4.5, mostly under a hybrid DOSEMU/FreeDOS 1.2 installation, but the final compilation in a release will always be tested on bare silicon in a dedicated FreeDOS installation. QuickBASIC? Why? To see if it could be done, I guess, and also to re-familiarize myself with this BASIC dialect. It also compiles in FreeBASIC using the *-lang qb* switch. Linux has dozens of Markdown implementations, probably better than this one, too, but I don't know of any on FreeDOS. -

Spritesheet Cutter cannot create GIFs, but there are better solutions. Color selections can be converted to transparency. -

Linear and nonlinear (from version 2.0.0) finite element analysis of 3-dimensional frames, trusses and other such structures, designed for use in civil engineering. SDL 1.2 or 2 can be used for graphics and an executable file for Window$ is included in version 2.1.0, as well as a program for analysing 2-dimensional structures, written in Sinclair BASIC for ZX Spectrum computers. A free emulator written in JavaScript, i.e. JSSpeccy v1, which was tested in FIrefox 10 from 2012 (and obviously works in all later versions), is also provided. -

Bingo Cards
Prepare bingo cards game for any educational purpose.
The idea is simple. Instead of solving exercises in serial form in the classroom, it is better to wrap the solving exercises experience with a game similar to Bingo. The students will love it and the teacher will have a very nice time! This extension provides Calc with a tool able to create Bingo Cards and the corresponding interactive document to play the game in the classroom. The teacher type in the Bingo sheet the questions and the corresponding answers and he/she gets the cards in the Bingo Cards sheet. A printer is required to print the BINGO cards and a scissor to cut them apart while the classroom should be equipped with a projector and a computer running OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Download BingoCards-3.1.4.zip and unzip in your computer. Please install the APPROPRIATE .oxt for your system, the other versions will NOT work! Some representative examples are included. Simple, lightweight, cross-platform (Windows / Linux / ARM6 Linux), cross-arch (x32 / x64), standalone command line file encryption program. GnuPG is probably the best application for cross-platform encryption. However, its usage on Windows PCs may be inconvenient (installation administrator rights; large executable size for perhaps just a one-time file decryption, complicated command-line switches for stronger encryption). NCrypt would fulfill this task, but does not operate on 64-bit Windows - MLCrypt was created because of this. The program's primary aim is cascade encryption: create an encrypted outer layer over an existing compressed and encrypted archive file. (Each encryption layer should have a different complex password.) MLCrypt.zip contains all the executables: Linux, Windows, Raspberry Pi. -

A console-mode program that will keep all your passwords safe
PasswordBox is a console-mode program that will keep all your passwords safe, in an encrypted database protected by a master password. PasswordBox can also be used to generate secure (random) passwords. This program is written by Mateusz Viste, and uses the AES implementation of Chris Brown to handle all encryption/decryption processes. PasswordBox is available for the following operating systems: DOS, Windows, Linux. Remember, that if you forget your master password, you will have no way to recover the database content. Usage: pbox [--help] [--dump] --help displays a help screen (any unsupported parameter will display it, too) --dump lists all the data of your encrypted database onscreen -
