    BerserkArch

    BerserkArch

    A bleeding-edge, security-centric Arch-based Linux distribution.

BerserkArch is a security-focused, performance-tuned Linux operating system (OS) based on Arch Linux, designed for developers, hackers, and technical users. A bleeding-edge, security-centric Arch-based Linux distribution crafted for hackers, developers, and nerds alike. Following the Arch Linux philosophy, it is designed to be highly customizable, allowing users to build their environment with only the components they need, rather than having a lot of pre-installed software like some other security distributions (e.g., Kali Linux). As an Arch-based distribution, it benefits from the rolling release model, providing users with the latest software versions and kernel updates. BerserkArch is a dist "designed to make you powerful" for specific use cases like reverse-engineering binaries and automating exploits, rather than being an easy-to-use distribution for general beginners.

    Archangel

    A flexible, extendable content filter

Archangel is meant to be a sort of 'improved' version of dansguardian and uses the same default lists as dansguardian. It is basically dansguardian rewritten in python as an ICAP server as opposed to a proxy front-end. The benefits of archangel over dansguardian include: 1. Because it is an ICAP filter, it interfaces with squid and can do HTTPS filtering as well as regular HTTP. 2. Because it uses blocking modules and is written in python, it is extremely easy to write new modules for very complex, intensive blocking. I have already written a module that does content-based blocking of youtube videos. Archangel uses the pyicap library to implement the ICAP functionality. The blockpage requires use of the PHP 5.4.x CLI. In order to do HTTPS filtering, you must first install squid compiled with SSL support and configure it to talk to archangel.

    DogoIDS

    DogoIDS

Active-probing-based network IDS for wireless networks

DogoIDS is an open-source active-probing-based network intrusion detection system (AP-NIDS) for wireless multihop networks (MANETs, Wireless Mesh Networks, Sensor Networks, etc). At this stage, DogoIDS only support the IEEE 802.11s standard for Wireless Mesh Networks. DogoIDS is now under construction in a very early stage and mainly for research purposes. However, we aim to release a stable version ready for production soon. *** IMPORTANT *** We uploaded the very first experimental implementation of DogoIDS (still alpha), so expect to find bugs. The Documentation is sadly not yet fully done. So far, we did experiments using a IEEE 802.11s network (open80211s kernel 3.10.0-rc4-wl). We are happy to receive comments.
