Brawn blaster

Held in Burt Reynolds's hand. The big white gun.

Stranglehold disguises himself as a shirtless muscle-man with a hearty moustache, so it should come as no surprise that his gun of choice is a brawn blaster. It actually saps the energy supply of its target, rendering them physically weak and even easier for the burly Decepticon to thump. Seems unsporting, doesn't it? To date Stranglehold does not appear to care.

The Transformers Stranglehold came with a large white brawn blaster that his outer shell could hold. No version of this mold or character was released in Japan.

Notes

• Like his wavemates Bludgeon and Octopunch, Stranglehold's toy's outer shell was armed with a ranged weapon but in almost all of their fictional appearances they were armed with melee weapons instead—in Stranglehold's case, a flail-like spiked ball on a chain.
