Our group is focusing on the issues of public vs. private spaces in a virtual world region for social networking. We are exploring a Francophone region in Second Life. It’s called La France Pittoresque and is based on the real world island of Seychelles, which is actually an archipelago composed of 115 islands located to the east of Africa. (You can teleport inworld to Seychelles 90, 140, 22.)
“Island paradise and Francophone in Second Life since March 2007, a picturesque region of France relaxation, culture, discussion, entertainment, shopping, where you will meet other beginners like you, but also older members with whom you can share, and who will advise you and give you good recommendations. It is a group of several thousand French-speaking members, where you can ask questions if necessary.”
