Robert M. Dannenberg is a retired CIA spook who among other things was Chief of the Central Eurasia Division.[1]

Education

He studied International Relations and Affairs at Georgetown University 1981-1983 and at University of Colorado Boulder.

Career

He was with the CIa for 24 years. He was posted twice in Moscow, where his role was to "steal their secrets and break their stuff".[2]

Dannenberg was chief of operations for CIA's Counterterrorism Center, chief of the Central Eurasia Division and chief of the Information Operations Center before retiring from the Agency in 2007.[3]

Later activities

He became managing director and head of the Office of Global Security forGoldman Sachs circa May 2009 to May 2014[4], and as director of International Security Affairs at BP.[3] From 2014 to 2021, he was an advisor to Goldman Sachs and the firm's clients on geopolitical risk.
