To set the scale, enter the number of increments in a given length. E.g. for a true scale tape with 1mm increments, enter 10 Increments in a Length of 10. Enter Long Ticks every = 10 and Step = 10.

Select Labels = Custom to enter any label at any Long Tick.
Enter labels separated by a comma.

Example:
You need a Thermometer scale (Celsius)
The Full length of the template = 310mm (with end margins)
It starts from -30° and goes to 50° (total 80 increments) with degree numbers and long ticks every 10°.

Enter Number of Increments = 80 and In Length = 300.
Enter Total Template Length = 310, Select Labels = Tick Labels
Enter Long Ticks Every = 10, Start From = -30 and Step = 10
Hit Calculate to draw the template.
For a shorter thermometer, change In Length to 200, and Total Template Length to 220

Adjust scale of diagrams to measure 100% scale on screen with a ruler.
