Learn Linux

Never fear a Linux terminal again. Navigate the filesystem, inspect processes, and automate everyday developer tasks.

What will you learn?

So many developers go years before understanding the basics of shells, terminals, and Linux (or more generally Unix-like systems). Here you'll learn to navigate files and directories, install dependencies, configure your PATH, and use powerful CLI tools like grep, find, and pipes. Never fear the command line again, make it fear you.

I am not new to CLIs, but I learned a lot of new information. The recent update providing a CLI in the browser for the first few chapters is awesome!

As a historical Windows only user, this was a really great introduction to Linux. I had dabbled before on various projects but this gave me a lot of confidence on navigating the CLI and demystifying Linux as a GUInoob.

This course was actually a lot easier then I thought it would be. Just take your time and don't be afraid to ask for help if need be.

It's not exactly Over The Wire: Bandit but lets just say this is much easier helpful and friendly. AI Boots is great for when I am feeling like i did something but don't fully get what I did and now i can get further in OTW: Bandit much more comfortably.

It contains a extensive list of functions and syntax information about the terminal, which made me much more familiar with it overall. I'm not as scared of it anymore !
