Cake is a big help in solving our shareholder management issues.
We began using CAKE in 2022 when our startup needed to bring in its first external fundraising and shareholders. We were looking for a solution to assist with tracking / maintaining a share register and also provide visuals of the cap table, company valuations over time, share prices, etc.. We were thrilled to find that CAKE provided all of it and more. We then watched as the CAKE team continued to build new features which we made use of. We've never needed to reach out to customer support in this time as we have found the portal quite intuitive. We also find that we access CAKE and manage the portfolio at least once per week especially the "communications" module to send shareholder updates.

The ESOP had ten people with different deals, start times, finish times. The fact that it send them updates on the cliff annviserary and then for vesting is just great reassurance that they are earning some of the company value for their hard work.

Unlike many platforms Cake provide in person help when and if needed which has been a deal breaker for sure. The problem solved by Cake Equity is issuing ESOP to employees in multiple countries. Cake makes the legal process bearable without costing an arm and a leg in legal fees.

I don't usually comment on product hunt posts, but I've been waiting for Cake to post for so long! They're killing it in Australia, and I don't know a serious startup that isn't using them. It's exhilarating to see that they are now scaling internationally.
Cake is what Carta should be. It's easy to use, no need to speak to a representative every five minutes and the support actually gets stuff done.
One example is that when you have an issue with Carta, you need to call them and it gets escalated to multiple people and it takes *days* to get stuff done. With Cake, I have access to my own representative, I can book meetings with them when I want and they get things done within hours.
And the price: Cake is 10% of the price of Carta.
