Each plenary session, Members are provided with relevant public opinion data on key agenda topics:
- Peace efforts for Gaza: Peace is the value considered most important by EU citizens. When asked which values the European Parliament should prioritise, 46% of Europeans said the focus should be on ‘peace’. The second most cited value is ‘democracy’, with 33% of respondents saying this should be a priority. (EP Spring 2025 Eurobarometer survey)
- Prime Minister of Luxembourg: Security and defence, together with tackling high prices and a shortage of affordable housing, are among the key priorities for Luxembourgers, according to public opinion data. Overall, EU support indicators are among the highest in Luxembourg compared to other EU Member States. (EC Standard Spring 2025 and EP Spring 2025 Eurobarometer survey)
- EU digital rules - protecting European sovereignty: 85% of Europeans think it is important to ensure that European digital technology companies can compete globally. Furthermore, 89% of EU citizens think it is important for public authorities to increase research and innovation to develop stronger and more secure digital technologies. Combating disinformation and protecting minors online are seen among the most important topics for action. (Eurobarometer on the Digital Decade 2025)
- Strengthening the position of farmers in the food supply chain: 90% of EU citizens say that strengthening the farmer's role in the food supply chain is an important priority for the Common Agricultural Policy. Greece (97%) ranks highest in terms of perceived importance,, followed by Malta and Spain (both 96%). (Eurobarometer on Europeans, Agriculture and the CAP)
- Guidelines for employment policies of the Member States: A programme to provide young people with access to a job or continued preparation for it after leaving formal education or becoming unemployed would be supported by 86% of people. 80% say that training to equip them for future job opportunities is important to them.
