lldikó Gáll-Pelcz, reporting Member of the European Court of Auditors (ECA), presented the Special report 18/2026 "The Commission’s anti-fraud strategy - Comprehensive yet insufficiently ambitious" to the Committee on Budgetary Control on 14 July 2026.
On 14 July 2026, at a joint exchange of views, the Parliament’s Budgets and Budgetary Control Committees examined the Commission’s plan to unlock up to EUR 16 billion in EU funds for Hungary. Executive Vice President Raffaele Fitto, Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration Commissioner Piotr Serafin, and Democracy, Justice, Rule of Law, and Consumer Protection Commissioner Michael McGrath represented the Commission.
On 14 July 2026, the Committee on Budgetary Control held an exchange of views with the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
