On 14 July, IMCO held an exchange of views with Anthropic on its new artificial intelligence (AI) model, Claude Mythos. Unlike a standard chatbot, Claude Mythos can carry out complex cybersecurity tasks with little human input, such as finding software weaknesses and completing multi-step actions. These capabilities have raised questions about how AI could change cybersecurity and whether current EU rules can keep pace with rapid technological progress.
