Valiokunta voi kuulla asiantuntijoita, jos se katsotaan välttämättömäksi tietyn asian käsittelyn kannalta. Kaksi valiokuntaa tai useampi valiokunta voi myös pitää yhteisen kuulemistilaisuuden. Useimmat valiokunnat järjestävät säännöllisesti kuulemistilaisuuksia, sillä ne antavat mahdollisuuden kuulla asiantuntijoita ja käydä keskusteluja keskeisistä kysymyksistä. On 3 June 2026, the FEMM and LIBE Committees will jointly organise a public hearing on the forthcoming ‘New Strategy on Anti-Trafficking’, to be presented later this year by the European Commission. The hearing on "NRPPs and lessons from the RRF delivery model: long-term EU resilience and social cohesion in the context of demographic challenges" examines the budgetary implications of the proposed NRPPs under the 2028–2034 MFF, drawing on lessons from the RRF delivery model to assess how performance-based financing, conditionalities and flexibilities can support long-term investment predictability and address structural challenges such as demographic change and social cohesion.
