At the ITRE Committee meeting of 14 July, ITRE members engaged in a debate with Mrs Teresa Ribera, Executive Vice-President for a Clean, Just and Competitive Transition on issues related to ITRE competences such as implementation of the Clean Industrial deal and the role of new State aid framework to support the European industry.
On 13 July 2026, Members of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), meeting under the joint committee procedure, discussed the draft report on the Digital Omnibus proposal that aims to simplify the digital legislative framework (file 2025/0360(COD)).
