Welcome from the Chair

Welcome to the website of the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with Albania.

As Chair of this delegation, I co-chair the EU-Albania Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC), along with the Co-Chair from the partner delegation of the Parliament of Albania, Mr Toni GOGU.

The EU-Albania SAPC has held 18 meetings that usually take place twice per year, alternating between Tirana and Strasbourg or Brussels. Over the years, the delegation has witnessed Albania's progress in democratic reforms, economic development, and efforts to combat corruption, and the country has successfully started the Accession negotiations on the cluster of Fundamentals in October 2024.

Our goal is to consider all aspects of Albania's Accession to the European Union, with particular emphasis on the democratic order, protection of human rights, fight against corruption and organized crime, as well as regional cooperation in Southeast Europe.

I am honoured to work closely with both my colleagues in the European Parliament and our counterparts, and supporting Albania's efforts to continue on its EU integration path.
