Statement by Antonio López-Istúriz White, Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee (D-MX), on the crackdown on the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the wave of violence in Mexico

The 32nd EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee Meeting was taking place in Mexico City from 27-29 October 2025. The programme of the visit included a series of high-level meetings and the business community as well as the interparliamentary meeting with the Mexican Congress.

Statement by Antonio López-Istúriz White, Chair of the Delegation of the EU-México Joint Parliamentary Committee (D-MX), on the recent wave of political violence in México, including the murder of México City Mayor's Top Aids and the journalist Avisack Douglas.

The 31st meeting of EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee took place on 15 May 2025 in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels. Members of the Mexican Congress and Senate met with Members of the European Parliament to discuss various topics of mutual interest.

This meeting of the Delegation to the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee (D-MX) took place jointly with the Delegation for Relations with the United States (D-US) on 27 November 2024.

Antonio López-Istúriz White, Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee (D-MX), has issued a statement on the recent murder of Catholic Priest and human rights defender, father Marcelo Pérez Pérez.

At its meeting on 17 October 2024, the Delegation to the EU-Mexico Joint Parliamentary Committee (D-MX) elected the following Bureau members:

In order to facilitate a swift start into the new legislative term, the Parliament has prepared for the new Members a series of brochures providing a detailed information on the EP's role in the external policies of the EU as well as the work of standing inter-parliamentary standing delegations.
