Delegation meeting of 22 January 2026

D-UK held an ordinary delegation meeting on 22 January 2026 in room De Madariaga S5 (Strasbourg) from 9:30 to 11:00. There was an exchange of views on "Local and regional dimension of EU-UK relations" with the following speakers:
  • Peter Byrne, Chair of the EU-UK Follow-up Committee, European Economic and Social Committee
  • Karl Vanlouwe, Chair of the UK-CoR Contact Group, Committee of the Regions
  • Gina McIntyre, Chief Executive, Special EU Programmes Body, PEACEPLUS

Delegation meeting of 11 December 2025

D-UK held its last ordinary meeting of the year on 11 December. It first held an exchange of views with Professor Anand Menon, Director of UK in a Changing Europe on 'The UK in 2026: Political outlook and key trends'. MEP Thijs Reuten (AFET Standing Rapporteur) then gave an overview of the Report on the implementation of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement.

Delegation meeting of 13 November 2025

D-UK held an in-camera meeting in Brussels as preparation for the 6th EU-UK PPA (17-18 November in London).They held an exchange of views with Ms Caroline Read, Deputy Ambassador at the UK Mission to the EU and Mr Maroš Šefčovič, Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security; Interinstitutional Relations and Transparency.

Joint D-UK/D-US meeting on 16 October 2025

D-UK and D-US held an exchange of views on From defence to economic security: redefining transatlantic cooperation in a changing world order with guest speakers:
  • Dr Giuseppe Spatafora, Research analyst at the EU Institute for Security Studies (EUISS)
  • Ms Sophia Gaston, Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Statecraft and National Security, King's College London
  • Mr Benjamin Hartmann, Cabinet Expert, Cabinet of Commissioner Andrius Kubilius, Defence and Space


Delegation meeting of 22 September 2025, Brussels

On Monday 22 September (15:00-16:30), D-UK held an exchange of views on energy and ETS linkage between the EU and the UK. This is in light of the European Commission's recent recommendation to open negotiations with the UK on linking greenhouse ETS. D-UK was joined by:

  • Ms. Beatriz Yordi, Director, Carbon Markets and Clean Mobility (CLIMA.B), European Commission
  • Mr. Adam Berman, Director of Policy and Advocacy, Energy UK
  • Mr. Antoine Bonnet, Policy Advisor, International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD)

Delegation meeting of 10 July 2025, Strasbourg (In Camera)

On Thursday 10 July, D-UK will meet alongside Ms. Caroline Read, Deputy Ambassador at the UK Mission to the EU, and Mr. Richard Szostak, Director of the TCA unit, Secretariat General of the European Commission, for an exchange of views on the UK-EU Summit of 19 May. Members will also have the possibility to suggest topics to be discussed at the next PPA (17-18 November).

POSTPONED - Joint D-UK/D-US meeting

The joint D-UK/D-US meeting scheduled for 22 May 2025 is postponed. A new date will be communicated in due time.

Delegation Meeting of 3 April 2025, Strasbourg

A meeting of the EP Delegation to the EU-UK PPA took place on 3 April in Strasbourg.
Members held an exchange of views on migration with the participation of the following experts:
  • Alberto-Horst Neidhardt, Head of European Migration and Diversity and Senior Policy Analyst, European Policy Centre
  • Madeleine Sumption, Director of the Migration Observatory at the University of Oxford

Delegation Meeting of 6 March 2025, Brussels

A meeting of the EP Delegation to the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly (D-UK) took place on 6 March 2025, from 10.30 to 12.00, in Brussels.

Members had an exchange of views on EU-UK trade, customs and Sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) arrangements, with the participation of the following experts:

  • Mr Miroslaw Galar, Acting Head of Unit, EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement, European Commission
  • Ms Emily Lydgate, Co-director, UK Trade Policy Observatory

The members also discussed about preparations for the 5th EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly (PPA), scheduled for 17-18 March 2025, in Brussels.

"In Camera" Delegation Meeting of 20 February 2025 (Brussels)

Members of the European Parliament's Delegation to the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly met on 20 February 2025, from 10:30 to 12:00.

Members had an exchange of views on EU-UK foreign and security policy and cooperation. They also discussed about the preparations for the 5th EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly scheduled for 17-18 March 2025.
