Next meeting of the DLAT Delegation: 23 February 2026

The next meeting of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) is scheduled for:

The meeting will host the 6th High-Level Seminar of the Euroamerica Foundation.

Meeting of the DLAT Delegation on 26 January 2026

The last meeting of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) took place on 26 January 2026.

The meeting was focused on two strategic pillars for the region: EU-LAC cooperation on health regarding transboundary threats and the implementation of the Bi-regional Pact for Care.

It also featured prominent experts from the European Commission, the Pan American Health Organization, and UN Women.

DLAT in DROI Subcommittee Meeting on 3 December 2025

The DROI Subcommittee held a workshop on "the Human rights dimension of EU-Latin America relations in the context of the EU-CELAC Summit" in association with the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) on 3 December 2025.

Meeting of the DLAT Delegation on 17 November 2025

The last meeting of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) took place on 17 November 2025.

It was focused on the results of the 4th CELAC-EU Summit in Santa Marta (Colombia) and the preparations for the meetings of the EuroLat Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels, from 1 to 3 December 2025.

Meeting of the DLAT Delegation on 22 October 2025

The last meeting of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) took place on 22 October 2025.

It was focused on the 4th CELAC-EU Summit in Santa Marta (Colombia) on 9 and 10 November 2025, with the participation of representatives of EEAS, European Council on Foreign Relations and the EuroLat Co-President Daniel Caggiani.

DLAT in DEVE Committee meeting on 16 October 2025

On Thursday 16 October DEVE Committee, in association with the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT), featured the presentation of the UNDP 2025 Human Development Report for Latin America and the Caribbean ahead of the EU-CELAC Summit.

It included an Exchange of views with the UNDP Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean Michelle Muschett.

Meeting of the DLAT Delegation on 22 September 2025

The last meeting of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) took place on 22 September 2025.

It was mainly focused on the state of political freedom and freedom of conscience in Latin America, an exchange of views on the 16th EuroLat Assembly, held in Lima from 1 to 3 June 2025, and the path towards the EU-CELAC Summit in Santa Marta (Colombia).

Meeting of the DLAT Delegation on 12 May 2025

The last meeting of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) took place on 12 May 2025.

It was mainly focused on building care systems in the European Union and in Latin America and the Caribbean as part of efforts to ensure comprehensive social protection.

Meeting of the DLAT Delegation on 24 March 2025

The last meeting of the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (DLAT) took place on 24 March 2025.

It was mainly focused on Security and Justice in Latin America and the Caribbean: state of play, prospects and European cooperation in this field with the participation of representatives of El PAcCTO, Europol and Eurojust.

DLAT in the LIBE Committee meeting on 6 March 2025

On 6 March 2025, the LIBE Committee with the participation of the DLAT Delegation held an exchange of views with representatives of CLASI, led by its current pro tempore presidency (Ecuador) and incoming presidency (Chile).

Afterwards, a meeting was held between representatives of CLASI member countries and the chairs of the EP's Latin America-focused delegations, as well as the VP of the EP responsible for relations with Latin America. The 'Latin American Committee on Internal Security' (CLASI) was established in March 2022. CLASI is a high-level regional political dialogue platform aimed at coordinating the definition and implementation of public security policies in Latin America (political, strategic, operational levels). Countries of CLASI are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.
