Interparlementaire bijeenkomsten

The seventh meeting of the EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) is taking place on 17 and 18 of September 2025, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among other things the members are discussing:

· State of play of EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations;

· State of fulfilment of the 14 key priorities and eight steps, BiH's reform agenda;

· Impact of the political, constitutional, legal and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina on European integration;

· Taking stock of 30 years of the Dayton Peace Accords.

Among other things the members discussed:

· State of play of EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations;

· State of fulfilment of the 14 key priorities and eight steps, BiH's reform agenda (New Growth Plan) and steps needed to hold the first Intergovernmental Conference;

· The security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina;

· Equality and position of women in Bosnia and Herzegovina;

· EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina cooperation on migration.

The European Union-Bosnia and Herzegovina Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee held its 5th meeting on 30October 2024 in Sarajevo.

The agenda items included:

· State of play of EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina relations

· Next steps on Bosnia and Herzegovina's EU integration path following the decision in March 2024 to open accession negotiations

· Ways to strengthen preparedness and resilience in case of natural disasters and to use the full potential of the EU's tools for institutional and financial support that are available to BiH as a candidate country
