Main parliamentary activities

Reports - as rapporteur

A rapporteur is appointed in the responsible parliamentary committee to draft a report on proposals of a legislative or budgetary nature, or other issues. In drafting their report, rapporteurs may consult with relevant experts and stakeholders. They are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs. Reports adopted at committee level are then examined and voted on in plenary. Rule 55

Opinions - as rapporteur

Committees may draft an opinion to a report of the responsible committee covering the elements linked to their committee remit. Rapporteurs of such opinions are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs of the opinion. Rule 56, Rule 57, Annex VI

Urban wastewater treatment (A9-0276/2023 - Nils Torvalds) CS

Hlavním důvodem revize směrnice o čištění městských odpadních vod je řešení problému zbývajícího znečištění. Nicméně stávající směrnici můžeme považovat za letitou, ale i Evropská komise přiznala, že tam, kde by směrnice fungovat měla, tak funguje. Pokud by nově navrhovaná pravidla prošla a začala se následně uplatňovat, následkem by byl zásek do veřejných rozpočtů v řádech několika miliard eur a též zvýšení stočného v rámci desítek procent.

Protection of workers from asbestos (A9-0160/2023 - Véronique Trillet-Lenoir) CS

Jakožto člen Výboru pro zaměstnanost a sociální věci jsem se rozhodl v rámci důležitosti dbání na zdraví zaměstnanců podpořit směrnici zabývající se problematikou ochrany zaměstnanců před azbestem při práci. Cílem návrhu je snížit limitní hodnotu expozice na pracovišti, která je povinná ve všech členských státech. Navzdory úplnému zákazu používání azbestu v EU zabíjí expozice tomuto karcinogennímu vláknu, které je stále přítomno v milionech budov, v Evropě více než 70 000 lidí ročně.

European Media Freedom Act (A9-0264/2023 - Sabine Verheyen) CS

Vzhledem k rostoucí hrozbě pro svobodu novinářů a sdělovacích prostředků jsem se rozhodl podpořit tuto legislativu. Domnívám se, že je důležité pro správně fungující demokratickou společnost, aby se nezasahovalo do redakčních rozhodnutí vydavatelů médií, novináři by také neměli čelit nežádoucímu a neoprávněnému vnějšímu tlaku.

Individual motions for resolutions

In accordance with Rule 143 of Parliament's Rules of Procedure, any individual Member may table a motion for resolution on a matter falling within the spheres of activity of the EU. These motions for resolution express the position of the individual Members who tabled them.
