The workshop will take place on 28 January 2026 at 14:30 in the European Parliament (ASP3G2).

Building on Petition 0043/2024, it addresses the challenges older persons face when accessing age-related benefits across EU Member States due to differing national definitions and the lack of a commonly recognised pensioner status.

Independent experts and institutional representatives will explore the legal, technical, and policy implications of a voluntary EU Senior/Pensioner Card, while respecting Member States' competence over pensions and social security.
