Over the weekend we had my brother's wedding across the cove from me. On each table, we had a vase of white roses. I wanted to share the beautiful rose. I have been busy with the wedding, but I will be back catching up with my visits. A happy new week to you!

" Into twilight
Lure you in
White raven
Veiled and dwelling
Let me ask!
Lend me a feather
I will turn it
into white wings ... "

a white fronted bee eater (merops albicollis).
this kind of bee eater con be found in south africa all the year around.it's a lovely bird and in some areas quite common.
in photography the hardest part is in this case to get the details of the white front.the whites are very easy to be "fired" especially in canon.take care on exposure!

It was great to spend time photographing these magnificent birds on a recent trip to the Hortobágy region of Hungary.
Many thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images - very much appreciated.
Not all our daffodils were knocked over by the heavy winds of recent days: our garden is still awash with yellow ... and white, like this daffodil.
It looks a bit 'double' because there is another one standing right behind and I didn't like to cut it off just for the photo.
