(2) In the film, Gale gets arrested for assaulting a Peacekeeper. In the book, it's for moving in on Katniss and trying to break up her engagement.

okay but getting arrested for assaulting someone of authority sounds more legitimate than getting arrested because you made a move on a girl about to get marriedd

I definitely need to do a reread"I find this a lot with my rereads, where the movie version of events becomes my memory of the book until I have reason to go back and correct myself. I think because we most often watch the movie after reading the book, and so its version of events are more recently and closely remembered. It's hard to hold two versions of the same thing at once in one's mind :)

Honestly, compared to other movies, that's a VERY small difference. Just watch The Lightning Thief.

Subsequent iterations of source material should iron out flaws where they see fit. The question thus becomes whether the remedy is preferable to the symptom. In this case, I think it is.
