Dave Jamieson

Labor Reporter, HuffPost

Dave Jamieson has been HuffPost’s labor reporter since 2011. His stories have taken him around the country to write about what it’s like working in warehouses, coal mines, meatpacking plants, post offices and dollar stores. Based in Washington, D.C., he likes to report on the power dynamics inside a workplace, and the ways in which policymakers shape our jobs and paychecks. Before covering labor, he was a freelance writer who contributed to the Washington Post, Outside magazine, Slate and other publications, and wrote a book about the history of baseball cards, called “Mint Condition” (Grove/Atlantic). He’s won the Livingston Award for Young Journalists, a Writers Guild Award and the Hillman Foundation’s Sidney Award. When he’s not reporting, he’s usually chasing his two sons around or, if he’s lucky, out fishing.
