Dr. Xiao-Feng Sun obtained his PhD degree at Bangor University in the United Kingdom in 2006, and then, as a research officer, he worked on an industrial-based project. In 2007, he returned to China and focused his studies on environmental materials at Zhejiang University. Now he works at Northwestern Polytechnical University, and he has published more than 100 papers, which have been cited more than 6500 times by other scientists. His research focuses on natural polymers and nanomaterials for environmental protection and biomedical applications. He has received 8 academic awards from the Chinese government and international societies, and he is an IAAM fellow, a 2020 Highly Cited Chinese Researcher, and a World top 2% scientist.
