Prof. Dr. Melih Cemal Kushan graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University, Turkiye, in 1985. He received his MSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Anadolu University in 1988 and his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eskisehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) in 1996. In 2009, he completed postdoctoral research in Mechanical Engineering at James Cook University, Australia. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Aircraft Engineering at Eskisehir Osmangazi University. He also serves as the Head of the Department of Aircraft Engineering and Director of the Aviation and Space Technologies Application and Research Center (HUZTAM). Prof. Dr. Kushan has authored and co-authored 98 journal articles, 137 conference papers, and 39 books and book chapters. He has participated in 24 research and development projects funded by organizations including the European Union, TÜBİTAK, and KOSGEB. His publications have received more than 3,600 citations and cover a wide range of topics in aerospace engineering, materials science, aircraft structures, aviation technologies, and sustainable aviation.
