Sara Palermo, PhD, is Associate Professor of Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Turin. Her research explores the neural mechanisms underlying cognition, brain plasticity, and cognitive resilience throughout the lifespan, integrating neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience, and advanced neuroimaging techniques. She examines large-scale brain networks, functional connectivity, neuroplasticity, and adaptive brain mechanisms using multimodal methods, including fMRI, electrophysiology, behavioral paradigms, and neuromodulation techniques. Prof. Palermo collaborates with leading national and international research networks, including the European Academy of Neurology and the American Psychological Association. She has authored numerous scientific publications and serves as Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for several international journals in neuroscience, neuropsychology, and brain health.
