Indi Braden

Dr. Indi Braden received a bachelor’s in Biology from the College of the Ozarks, Missouri, a master’s in Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences from the University of Arkansas, and a Ph.D. in Agronomy - Crop Production and Physiology from Iowa State University. She began her academic career at Southeast Missouri State University in 2003, where she is currently a professor. In addition to her work at Southeast Missouri State University, Dr. Braden has worked with native wildflowers and prairie species, as well as rare and endangered species. She has worked to build learner-centered classrooms and lessons for students in plant science and physiology, forages, precision agriculture, geographical information systems, sustainable natural resource management, environmental science, and agribusiness. Her research interests include best management practices for sustainable natural resource management. Her research often includes water quality, agroecology, plant/animal interactions in forage-based systems, cover crops, and a variety of other agronomic applications.
