Khaled Elawady's specialist interests are major trauma, pediatric orthopedics, arthroplasty, limb reconstruction, and foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Elawady has a distinguished international career in the UK, the Middle East, and Egypt. Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals, and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust were among the prestigious institutions where he served as an advanced fellow and senior clinical post before becoming a consultant. His broad training has provided him with extensive experience in trauma surgery, Pediatric Orthopedics, arthroplasty, neurorehabilitation, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Elawady's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Trauma and Orthopedics from Cairo University, where his doctoral research focused on congenital absence of leg bones. He is a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopedics and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) England. Dr. Elawady is highly engaged in research, teaching, and surgical training in addition to his clinical practice. He has authored numerous scientific papers, presentations, and book chapters in trauma and orthopedic surgery. He is a regular contributor to teaching programs, webinars, and professional workshops, and an External examiner for the MSc in Trauma and Orthopedics at Buckingham University.
