Kevin Sargent
Dr. Sargent recently transitioned from higher education to a company that serves agricultural producers by establishing third-party trials to test manufacturer claims at the farm scale. Following his education at the Universities of Missouri-Columbia (B.S., Animal Science) and Nebraska-Lincoln (M.S./Ph.D., Reproductive Physiology), his almost decade in higher education prepared him extensively. He previously taught 40 unique animal science and agribusiness courses. He built two laboratories through donor fundraising, grants, and internal funding requests, blending bench science and on-farm experiential learning/research with classroom material. This required extensive cross-disciplinary collaboration and working with many livestock and companion animal species. He advised hundreds of students academically, with many earning research awards, securing prestigious jobs, and gaining acceptance to veterinary school.
