Dr. Sharad Chandra Srivastava attained his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in the dynamic field of Industrial & Production Engineering in 1998, marking the commencement of his journey into engineering innovation. He furthered his academic prowess by earning his Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree from MNNIT Allahabad in 2002, solidifying his expertise in advanced engineering concepts. Driven by a passion for knowledge and research, Dr. Srivastava pursued his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, completing his doctoral studies in 2009. This milestone marked the culmination of his dedication to scholarly exploration and his commitment to contributing groundbreaking insights to the field of engineering. Currently serving as a distinguished Professor in the dynamic field of Industrial & Production Engineering at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), located in the vibrant setting of Koni, Bilaspur. Additionally, he holds the prestigious role of Dean of the School of Engineering & Technology, showcasing his expertise and leadership in academia. With a rich professional trajectory, he has previously held pivotal roles, including Head of Department and Finance Officer at GGV, demonstrating his strategic acumen and administrative prowess. Prior to his tenure at GGV, he made significant contributions to the Department of Production Engineering at B.I.T., Mesra, Ranchi, from 2002 until June 29, 2020, culminating in his esteemed position as an Associate Professor. His career is characterized by a passion for innovation, academic excellence, and visionary leadership, making him a revered figure in the field of engineering education. Dr. Sharad Chandra Srivastava's research spans various domains, including CAD/CAM, Lean Manufacturing Engineering, the Application of AI tools in manufacturing systems, sustainability, Computer-Aided Process Planning (CAPP), Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), and Tool Design and Industrial Engineering. His proactive engagement in these active areas reflects his commitment to pushing the boundaries of engineering innovation and sustainability practices. As an author and co-author, Dr. Srivastava has made significant contributions to scholarly discourse, with over 40 published papers in prestigious national and international journals and conferences. His prolific output not only showcases his expertise but also underscores his dedication to sharing valuable insights and advancements within the engineering community. He has authored four books (some of which are used as textbooks in India and other Asian countries) 1. Intelligent scheduling controller for FMS 2. Tool Design 3. Textbook of "Metrology & Measurement 4. Computer-aided Manufacturing. Under his exceptional mentorship, numerous students have successfully obtained their Master's and Ph.D. degrees, showcasing his profound impact on academia. His prolific contributions include over five patents credited to his name, highlighting his innovative spirit and commitment to advancing knowledge. He holds esteemed memberships in various professional bodies, including being a Life Member of the ISTE, Institution of Engineers (India), as well as a Member of IIF India and a lifetime member of IIIE, underscoring his dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
