Ruxing Zhao
Dr. Ruxing Zhao is now an Associate Chief Physician and Associate Research Professor at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, as well as an Associate Professor at Shandong University. He also serves as the Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Temporal Regulation and Precision Intervention in Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases. His research focuses on the role of immune-inflammatory mechanisms in endocrine and metabolic diseases, particularly how environmental factors (gut microbiota, diet, and lifestyle) influence glucose and lipid metabolism through immunometabolism, circadian rhythms and epigenetic regulation. Dr. Zhao has developed practical tools for assessing pancreatic β-cell function and contributed to the improvement of endocrine function tests.
