  • On this Day of Prayer for the Protection of Unborn Children, we lift our hearts to God in thanksgiving for the sacred gift of human life. We pray for the unborn, for those facing difficult decisions, and for all who are called to offer care and accompaniment. May our prayers and actions help shape hearts and communities rooted in the dignity of life and Christ’s love. 🕊️🙏

  • Over this past week, more than 170 priests from the Archdiocese of Detroit gathered at Sacred Heart Major Seminary for pastorate discernment modeling sessions, marking an important step forward in the first phase of the Archdiocesan Restructuring process. The models developed during these sessions will be presented in over 400 parish listening sessions this spring. Stay tuned for details on your parish’s listening session. • We were blessed to gather for a Holy Hour for the Archdiocesan Restructuring, united in prayer and quiet reflection at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Together, we entrusted our Archdiocese to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, praying for clarity, understanding, and direction during this time of discernment. We are grateful to Deacon Michael Van Dyke for presiding and to Gerardo Butalid for leading sacred music that deepened this hour of prayer. May the grace received continue to strengthen our Church and guide us forward in faith and unity. St. Anne, pray for us.  Blessed Solanus Casey, pray for us.  Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

  • Happy Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God! Today, we celebrate Mary’s “yes” to God, a “yes” that brought Christ into the world and changed history forever. As the Mother of our Savior and our Mother in faith, Mary gently leads us to her Son and shows us what it means to trust God completely. As we begin a new year, may Mary’s example encourage us to welcome Jesus more fully into our hearts and to carry His love into our families, parishes, and communities across the Archdiocese of Detroit. 🙏 Prayer for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God 🙏 O God, through the motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary, You gave the world the gift of salvation. Grant, we pray, that through her loving intercession we may draw closer to her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

  • 🌟 Merry Christmas! 🌟 Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord, the joyful day when Christ was born into the world. In the humility of a manger, God’s great love is revealed to us in the gift of His Son, our Savior and Redeemer. May the light of the newborn Christ fill our hearts with peace, renew our hope, and draw us closer to Him and to one another. Let us rejoice in the miracle of Emmanuel, God with us. Join us in praying on this holy day: O God, who wonderfully created the dignity of human nature and still more wonderfully restored it, grant, we pray, that we may share in the divinity of Christ, who humbled Himself to share in our humanity. Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

  • Archdiocese of Detroit reposted this

Over five days, the Archdiocese of Detroit was richly blessed by the historic visit of His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. From celebrations of the Holy Mass and moments of prayer to encounters with bishops, seminarians, and the faithful, this visit deepened our unity with the Church in the Holy Land and strengthened our shared mission in Christ. We are grateful for Cardinal Pizzaballa’s presence among us and for all who helped make these days of grace possible. May the fruits of this visit continue to bear witness to faith, hope, and peace. 🌿🕊️

  • On December 9th, our community gathered for a beautiful evening of faith and tradition in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Holy Rosary, dances, serenade, and Holy Mass celebrated by Bishop Jeffrey Monforton. Our hearts are full of gratitude! 🙏 ✨ ¡Nuestros corazones están llenos de gratitud! ¡Que viva la Virgen de Guadalupe! 🌹
