We're thrilled to announce the recent election of Lauren Grushkin to the Bideawee Board of Directors. Lauren recently retired from Rockrose Development, LLC in New York, NY where she managed all aspects of marketing and leasing for multiple buildings in the Rockrose LLC portfolio. Ms. Grushkin’s career as an international sales and marketing executive included more than 25 years of experience in community engagement, event planning and development as well as partnership building. While at Rockrose, she selected, trained, scheduled and managed a 10-person marketing/leasing team while developing staff professional skills and setting performance goals. Prior to Rockrose, Ms. Grushkin worked at IBM Asia-Pacific based in Tokyo, Japan, Burson Marsteller in New York, NY, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, China. Ms. Grushkin is a passionate advocate for animal welfare and veterans’ rights and has generously volunteered her time in the U.S. and abroad. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board, and we're thrilled to welcome her to our team.

Spread the word! Bideawee is waiving the adoption fee on dogs 6 months and older from now until the end of September! Because pumpkin spice is nice.. but doggie snuggles are way better. Fall is the season of cozy nights, crisp walks, and new beginnings. Imagine sipping your coffee with a loyal pup nestled against you, or curling up on the couch with a sweet face and wagging tail by your side. It's the perfect season to welcome a furry best friend home. 🍁 Visit our Manhattan or Westhampton Adoption Centers Tuesdays - Sundays (we do walk-in adoptions at both those locations) or apply online for any dog that is located in Wantagh or in foster (adoptions in Wantagh and for animals in foster are by appointment so the first step is to submit an online application). Don’t miss this opportunity to share your life with the most loyal, loving best friend you’ll ever know. 🐶 Visit www.bideawee.org for a current list of our available adoptable animals.

  • Happy Pride! 🌈 This Pride Month, we’re honoring chosen family—the people (and pets!) who see us, love us, and help us grow into who we’re meant to be. For many of our dogs and cats, their foster homes were the first places they truly felt safe and seen. It’s where they learned to trust, to play, to love, and to be loved in return. These pets have transformed and thrived in foster care—but because they’re not in the shelter, they’re often overlooked. But now? They’re ready to come out and shine. From now until June 29th, we’re waiving adoption fees for all our animals who are currently in foster homes. You can view the animals who are currently in foster by visiting the adoption section on our website and under location, choose “in foster.” Let’s help them take that next brave step—into the hearts and homes they’ve been waiting for. ❤️

It’s National Foster a Pet Month, and at Hill's, we're highlighting the incredible impact fostering has, especially during "kitten season." Last year, nearly 60% of all cats entering shelters were kittens under five months old—a tiny but mighty population desperately needing safe, temporary homes. 🐾 Recognizing this critical need, Hill's is joining forces with the renowned Kitten Lady, Hannah Shaw, to offer resources that equip you with the confidence to foster. We're emphasizing how proper nutrition sets these vulnerable kittens up for success. Our commitment extends directly to fosters: through our Hill's Food, Shelter & Love program, many Hill's-supported shelters offer complimentary Hill's Science Diet Kitten foods to foster families, ensuring these tiny felines get the specialized nutrition they need to grow and thrive. Plus, once kittens are ready for adoption, we continue our support with New Pet Parent Kits, including a starter bag of Hill's Science Diet food and helpful resources. Fostering is more than just providing a temporary space; it's about providing love, socialization, and the foundation for a healthy life, all backed by expert guidance and essential nutrition. Discover how you can be a part of this life-saving effort this #FosterAPetMonth! https://lnkd.in/gurWyqm9
