It was an energizing week in San Francisco as leaders from around the world came together for the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. For years, we’ve talked about a system under strain and overdue for real disruption. This year felt different. The technology is ready, the capital is committed, and consumer demand is finally aligned to push healthcare into its next chapter. So why now? The obvious catalyst is the rapid advancement of AI. Algorithmic care is no longer theoretical, but it only works when it’s paired with high-quality, personal signals. At Oura, we’re already seeing this come to life through features like Symptom Radar and Pregnancy Insights, where continuous, non-invasive biometrics can surface earlier signals and support better decisions before issues escalate. Just as important is how prevention is being reframed. It’s no longer a side project or pilot. Prevention is becoming a core business lever—changing the math of chronic disease by moving upstream to everyday behaviors like sleep, movement, and stress, instead of reacting only when problems are already severe. Regulators are taking notice too. Recent FDA guidance and programs like CMS ACCESS signal a growing recognition that wearables can responsibly support wellbeing without replacing clinical care - provided we draw clear lines around claims, thresholds, and trust. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve also taken concrete steps to show what this future looks like in practice:announcing a new strategic partnership to bring Oura’s biometric insights directly into Fullscript clinical workflows, launching an integration with @aptar digital health’s Migraine Buddy app to bring Oura’s continuous signals into a leading migraine app, and expanding our work with Carrot to connect Oura insights to fertility and hormonal health support from pre-pregnancy through menopause. JPM has always been a checkpoint for our industry, but this year there was real alignment around prevention, data quality, responsible AI, and the power of partnership. I’m proud of the role Oura is playing in that shift.

With hundreds of fertility clinics in the United States alone and thousands more globally, choosing the right provider has become increasingly complex. The Premester — those critical months leading up to pregnancy — is the ideal time to do your homework on which provider is right for your fertility journey. To help each member on that journey, Carrot takes a systematic approach to clinical quality, using a comprehensive framework for assessing outcomes across our global network of providers. Read more about the importance of evaluating clinical quality and identifying providers who will be true partners in addressing personalized needs in my new article:

Mabelle is an Instacart employee who used Carrot to find a high-quality doula for postpartum care: "This type of support — someone who's truly an expert and cares about you — it helped me in ways I didn't know I needed. This is something that companies have a really important obligation and also power to do, if they're going to truly support their employees." Thank you, Mabelle, for sharing your story with us! And kudos to Instacart for putting their employees first.
