Cluj is one of the 🇪🇺 cities to test and validate a bottom-up approach on the future of our relation with #Food. The project is called TURN THE TABLES (TTT), and it focuses on public food programs based on local and organic sources, as well as what sustainable food means in Cluj-Napoca. Sustainable food means food that has a low environmental impact, supports the local economy, promotes health, and respects the principles of social equity. CAN THIS BE ACHIEVED IN CLUJ? We will find out over the next three years of the project—on multiple levels. In short, TTT will answer questions like: 🍏 What do we feed our children in schools and kindergartens? 🍏 What responsible choices do we promote in public administration? 🍏 Can local food production sustain our city? We will bring together people from the entire food value chain, decision-makers from public administration, and experts who oversee the food that reaches Cluj residents through public procurement. All for a sustainable food future and climate resilience. Meet the Healthy Wave Mentees City of Riga, Latvia  GAL Someș-Nadăș, Romania  City of Varna, Bulgaria  Gemeente Rotterdam together with Stichting BOOR, Netherlands As part of the Erasmus Plus project Implementoring Healthy Meal for All (Healthy Wave), mentee cities are learning from mentor cities to enhance school meal programs and connect with stakeholders in their community. This project fosters the exchange of ideas and experiences to develop better policies for healthier school meals. Mentees learn how to successfully implement policies and projects through mentoring. Mentees aim to adapt successful practices to fit their city’s needs. By following a structured transfer method developed by the facilitators in the project, they learn from past experiences, maximize opportunities, and avoid common mistakes. During the mentoring visit the mentees: - Discuss and refine policy ideas  - Meet with stakeholders and learn about best practices - Lay the groundwork for meaningful changes in their city - Develop an action plan to implement those changes effectively This project is not about copying solutions but about working together to find the best local approaches. By working together, mentee cities are building a healthier future - one meal at a time.
