Embla Medical's world-renowned Össur prosthetics are highlighted here through the story of Team Össur athlete Fleur Jong. We're proud to be part of this journey, pushing the boundaries of prosthetics and mobility innovation worldwide.
A young athlete who lost both feet is now breaking world records. At 17, Fleur Jong nearly died from toxic shock syndrome. She lost both feet and parts of eight fingers. Then she tried Icelandic-designed Össur Cheetah Blades from Embla Medical and found a new way forward. Today, Fleur holds world records in the 100 meters and long jump, showing what can happen when human determination meets advanced prosthetic design.
