  • In a fast-moving healthcare landscape, waiting for clarity before taking action isn’t strategy—it’s surrender. In her latest piece for MM+M, Jennifer Kielmeyer Batey, EVP of Integrated Strategy at GSW, breaks down why trendcasting is becoming an essential discipline for modern brand teams. She explores how spotting subtle signals across culture, technology, policy, and behavior can help teams act sooner, not later. More than just buzzwords, trendcasting builds “future literacy” and resilience, empowering teams to move from reaction to readiness. • While Health Literacy Month wrapped in October, the challenges around health literacy are far from over. At GSW, we believe that improving health literacy is critical to achieving health equity—and it requires action year-round. Our latest thought leadership piece explores how understanding, accessibility, and empathy can bridge the gap between patients and the care they deserve. Read the blog to see how we’re helping build that bridge: https://lnkd.in/g-X89b4c Let’s keep the conversation—and the progress—going. #WonderMore #HealthLiteracy #ThoughtLeadership

  • Understanding isn’t a given. It’s a design choice. Plain language. Clear visuals. Inclusive testing. These are just some of the ways we can make health information not only accessible but actionable. Because when patients understand, they can engage, ask questions, follow care plans, and feel empowered in their health journey. At GSW, we believe clarity is care and it starts with communication that invites people in. This Health Literacy Month and beyond, let’s wonder more about how we speak the language of health and how, together, we can make understanding the first step toward healing. #WonderMore #HealthLiteracyMonth

  • Think health information is clear? Try reading it when English isn’t your first language. Or when you’re scared. Or managing three jobs. The truth is that health literacy gaps don’t just stem from reading skills. They reflect systemic barriers like language access, medical jargon, stress, and complexity. According to the CDC, nearly 9 out of 10 adults struggle to understand and use health information when it’s unfamiliar or complex. Those most affected? Older adults, lowerincome communities, and non-native speakers — widening health disparities and deepening mistrust. Every audience has different needs. This Health Literacy Month, commit to reviewing the content your organization shares with the community you serve. Greater health literacy leads to better health outcomes. #WonderMore #HealthLiteracy
