Everyone deserves someone who believes in them 💙 Inclusion isn’t just a project, it is part of how Store Manager Shengyl Kaplanoska from JYSK Holbæk in Denmark leads 💪 💬 “Half of my employees are either dyslexic or have ADHD. But that doesn’t make them worth any less than the rest of us. If no one believes in you, you can’t move forward. Everyone deserves someone who sees their potential,” says Shengyl. Through a long-term collaboration with Holbæk Kommune (Holbæk Municipality), Shengyl has for years welcomed both young people and adults in job training, activation programmes, and flexible positions. Many arrive unsure of themselves, but often leave with renewed confidence, a clear direction, and in some cases, a job at JYSK. 👉 Recently, Shengyl took on even greater responsibility for the youth in her local community by joining a national initiative aimed at giving young people aged 15 to 29, who are not in education or employment, better opportunities to enter the job market. 💬 “I didn’t say yes to this initiative because I felt I had to do it now. It’s something I’ve always done, so for me, it came very naturally. And if we don’t give people the chance to develop or to get a good start in life, then we’ve already lost them.” 🥇 Shengyl's involvement in the local youth has made her a local celebrity where many customers have praised her efforts and some even brought her flowers. #BringDedication

Major expansion for JYSK in Belgium 🚀 💪 👉 We are proud to announce a significant step in our Belgian growth journey where at least 16 new stores will be added in the coming year. 9 stores are acquired from home retailer Leen Bakker, and 7 new stores will open at former locations of the closing hypermarket chain Cora. 💡 Since entering the market in 2017, we have already grown to 70 stores. This expansion brings us closer to our ambition of 125 stores in Belgium 💙 💬 “We are proud of the success story we’re writing in Belgium. This is a major step towards nationwide coverage and strengthens our position as a leading home retailer in the country”, says Frank Christant, Country Director of JYSK Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. How does international diplomacy meet logistics? 🌍 That question took centre stage when JYSK hosted the Embassy of Denmark in Bulgaria’s recent Logistics and Transport Event at our Distribution Centre in Bozhurishte 💡 The event focused on logistics in the region highlighting the importance of cross-border cooperation 👏 💬 “Logistics is key to enabling and enhancing a region’s competitiveness - opening doors to trade, investments and tourism. The JYSK regional distribution centre is a prime example, serving not only Bulgaria but the wider region," says Flemming Stender, Danish Ambassador to Bulgaria. World-class dedication 💙 👉 Para-dressage rider Katrine Bjelke Kristensen is the next recipient of JYSK’s Bring Dedication grant of DKK 50,000. 💬 “Katrine shows an impressive level of dedication and determination in everything she does. She manages to balance elite sport, family life and studies in a way that inspires both within and beyond parasport. This is exactly the kind of commitment we wish to recognise through the Bring Dedication grant,” says Søren Brunsborg, Commercial Sales Coordinator at JYSK and grandson of JYSK founder Lars Larsen. The JYSK Bring Dedication grant is awarded to para-athletes who show exceptional dedication. As a main sponsor for Parasport Danmark, JYSK awards a total of DKK 200,000 to dedicated para-athletes in Denmark on a yearly basis. 💬 “Riding gives me a sense of freedom, and I often say that my horse is my physiotherapist on four legs. The sport makes a positive difference for me - both physically, in relation to my muscular atrophy, and mentally. But it’s no secret that riding also requires a lot, both financially and practically. JYSK and Lars Larsen Group donate 1 million Danish kroner to support cancer research 💙 This weekend marked the annual Danish fundraising event “Knæk Cancer”, and once again, we contribute to this vital cause with a donation of 1 million Danish kroner. “We are proud to continue supporting the Danish Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. It is a serious illness affecting nearly everyone, either personally or through someone close,” says Rami Jensen, President & CEO of JYSK. “Knæk Cancer is an important cause to us, as our founder Lars Larsen sadly passed away from cancer in 2019. We are honoured to play a part in raising awareness and supporting the ongoing efforts in cancer research,” he adds. #ProudToBeJYSK
