Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose unwavering commitment to service, justice, and equality continues to guide our work. Dr. King believed in creating pathways to opportunity and empowering communities to thrive. At Living Classrooms, service is at the heart of our mission, a value also reflected in Dr. King’s legacy. Our Inspired to Serve summer internship program offers young people the opportunity to lead, learn, and make a meaningful impact alongside our team. We are currently accepting applications for 10 internship positions, each tailored to individual interests and the needs of our programs. If you feel called to serve and grow this summer or know someone who is, we invite you to apply and share this opportunity. The concert is free to attend, with a suggested donation of $100 per seat. Meet Elijah! Elijah enrolled in Living Classrooms' Fresh Start Program in July 2025. Fresh Start provides intensive job training, assistance with job placement, credentialing opportunities, wrap-around services, and post-program aftercare to out-of-school youth ages 16–19. Elijah has successfully completed the first portion of his training and has moved on to the production module where he is learning how to use power tools and build products. Elijah is also assigned to the GED fast-track academic class and is on his way to receiving his diploma! He is a model student, working hard every day to learn more skills and gain certifications. Students like Elijah remind us why Living Classrooms' programs are so important to our community. Our programs offer hope, training, and wrap-around support to help individuals reach their full potential!

Did you know that in Baltimore City, only about 12% of students have consistent access to music education? For many families, the cost of private lessons puts music out of reach, keeping young musicians from exploring their talents. That’s why our free Ascend Through Music programs matter. We provide lessons, instruments, educators, supplies, and creative spaces where students can discover confidence, community, and their own artistic voice. If you’d like to help us keep music accessible, you can donate through the link attached below. Give $50 or more and we’ll send an Ascend t-shirt as a thank-you! Thank you for believing in our young people and the transformative power of music. 🎶💙 https://lnkd.in/edhteUqG
