🌟 Team Spotlight: Ground Software Engineering The Ground Software Engineering team at Muon builds the platforms that manage our satellites and transform captured data into the information customers depend on. "Operational excellence is what turns satellite capability into real customer value," says Jaret Deprin, Senior Director of Engineering, Ground Software. "This team doesn't just build - we own and operate mission-critical systems at scale." Using cloud-native platforms, pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices, the team applies modern engineering to unique challenges. A year ago, much of what they run today didn't exist. They built it, shipped it, and iterated on it - all while Muon satellites kept flying and the data kept flowing. "Every system we build directly affects how quickly and dependably Muon can deliver on its promises. When we reduce latency or increase reliability, it doesn't just improve our metrics - it means better data, faster, for the people who need it." Want to join them? Muon CEO Jonny Dyer recently sat down with Alexia Croft from Reuters Events: Aerospace & Defense to explore the evolution of Muon Space's Mission Foundry - our systemic, software-first approach to satellite manufacturing. As we scale toward a production capacity of hundreds of satellites per year, Jonny breaks down how Muon maintains reliability while hitting large production volumes. He also shares his perspective on: → Vertical integration and multi-mission scaling → The future of orbital data centers → What's ahead for Muon in 2026 and beyond Watch the full Q&A and register to join us in DC this November for the inaugural Reuters Space & Satellites USA 2026: https://lnkd.in/eiFUxT99

If you're curious about what global connectivity will look like next, take a listen to this episode of The Pair Program. Muon CEO Jonny Dyer and Hubble Network CEO Alex Haro joined Tim Winkler to talk about the future of space - and how it looks a lot more like software than rockets. They dig into Muon and Hubble’s partnership to build a satellite constellation powering a Bluetooth network around the Earth, the importance of vertical integration, and more. What a week at #GEOINT2026 in Colorado! 🛰️🔥 FireSat was featured during the opening ceremony on the main stage, with United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) Chairman Robert Cardillo spotlighting a protoflight image that captured a sub-half-acre fire near Medford, OR. This feature demonstrated FireSat’s advanced sensitivity and breakthrough capability to identify fires in their earliest stages - before they grow into major threats. Beyond the mainstage moment, we co-hosted an evening reception with our partners at Sierra Nevada Corporation, connecting with customers and partners across the GEOINT community. We also loved meeting so many members of the community at our booth throughout the week, with energizing conversations about our MSIR data and Mission Foundry approach to building purpose-built constellations tailored to the missions that matter most. The response from this week reinforced what we already believe: there's real and growing demand for mission-optimized constellations that go beyond general-purpose imaging to deliver the precise geospatial data decision-makers actually need. #GEOINT2026 #EarthObservation #RemoteSensing #FireSat

Our recently launched Vindlér 2.0 small satellite constellation is showing strong on-orbit performance and delivering early mission success! The constellation has also successfully tasked all payload collections and begun data delivery, continuing our long-established leadership in providing digital radio frequency (RF) solutions and data streaming directly to the warfighter. “We are excited that our Vindlér 2.0 design is already proving to be successful,” said Lisa Godenick, senior vice president of strategy at SNC. “This architecture enables the military to receive critical data from space within minutes, anywhere around the world. At a time where speed is relevance and information is dominance, SNC is continuously investing in ways to improve the quality and speed of our data.” Over the next several years, we plan to increase the constellation to more than 20 satellites, all of which will collect additional RF bands and provide multiple revisits throughout the day. https://bit.ly/4dfGJX4

We were honored for an image from the #FireSat protoflight to be shared during the opening ceremony at the annual GEOINT Symposium in Aurora, Colo., this morning. United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) Chairman Robert Cardillo and CEO Ronda Schrenk shared a series of powerful vignettes from throughout the #GEOINT Community demonstrating advancements in space-based Earth observation and analysis from the past year. This image of a location near Medford, Ore., USA, represents some of the first data captured by the FireSat protoflight, which launched in March 2025. The small, roadside fire never exceeded half an acre according to on-the-ground reports and was not detected by other satellites. Said Robert Cardillo: "That FireSat did detect it demonstrates an advanced sensitivity and breakthrough capability to identify fires in their earliest stages—before they grow into major threats." Thank you to USGIF for highlighting our critical mission and to our founding technical partners at Muon Space for making the FireSat vision a reality!
