The 99th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade delivered big. Balloons, floats, marching bands, and a city full of celebration. Our Highway Unit and partners safely escorted every balloon and float into NYC and our marching band kept the parade moving.

When it came to saving a life, our officers had no hesitation. 32nd Precinct officers saw a woman in the East River and jumped into the frigid water to pull her to safety. If you or someone you know is struggling, call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.

On this somber Friday, we bid farewell and rendered a final salute to Chief Chaplain Rabbi Dr. Alvin Kass, who faithfully served the spiritual needs of this department for nearly six decades. A purr-fect rescue! Midtown North Precinct officers sprang into action to save a tiny kitten trapped under a food truck, and the story didn't end there. After the rescue, one officer couldn't say no to those paws and gave the kitten a forever home.

Yesterday’s dedication of the new Tactical Training Center at Rodman’s Neck in the Bronx underscores what can be achieved through collaboration and partnership. This state-of-the-art facility will strengthen our ability to prepare officers for the complex challenges they face every day — ensuring safer outcomes for the public and for those who protect it. We offer our sincere thanks to the New York City Police Foundation, its many supporters, and our partners at the New York Army National Guard and NY/NJ HIDTA for helping make this vision a reality. Together, we continue to lead the way in training, innovation, and excellence in policing.

Our four-legged companions are more than just working animals — they're family! Today, our canines and horses gathered for our annual blessing of the animals with Assistant Chief Chaplain Msgr. Romano to honor their vital role in public safety.
