It is exciting to be in Greece with my colleagues Nora Løvdal Gamnes, Lina Plataniti and Cecilia Askham to meet all the partners of the SUSPENSE project. Over the next four years, we will engage in significant work.
Fifteen partners from six European countries will collaborate to discover sustainable, safe, and high-performance bio-based adhesives for wood-based composites. The entire value chain is represented, from adhesive developers to wooden board producers and furniture manufacturers for real-life testing.
NORSUS will ensure compliance with the safe and sustainable by design (SSbD) framework and will conduct life cycle assessments of the novel products.
Cecilia presented our work package, highlighting its importance as emphasized by both the project coordinator and the Project Officer. This project is a forerunner in Europe, and the Project Officer noted that this is the most comprehensive description of the SSbD and LCA work package she has encountered, expressing excitement to follow our progress.
