We are proud to help McDonald’s deliver on another successful financial quarter. Proof that hard work, creativity, and putting the customer first does pay off. A special shoutout to the teams that brought the innovative Friends Meal to life.

We just shared McDonald's Q1 results, and once again, disciplined execution drove solid performance in a challenging environment. A quick rundown on what mattered most this quarter: 👉 Clear, everyday value that customers responded to. From the continued execution of Extra Value Meals in the U.S. to strong meal bundles across many of our largest international markets, we stayed focused on meeting customers where they are. 👉 Marketing that connected with culture and scaled across markets. Our teams created big, relevant moments for different audiences – like the nostalgia led Friends campaign. When marketing builds local relevance at scale, it drives traffic and strengthens the business. 👉 Menu innovation that created energy across dayparts. Beverage momentum accelerated with a successful Q1 test in Australia and is now gaining traction through recent launches in Germany, Canada, and the U.S. As we move through 2026, I feel good about the strategy guiding us – executing consistently across value, menu, and marketing, while leveraging the scale and resilience of our global System. Our Chapter series explores the cultural shifts shaping how people live, shop and connect with brands. In our latest instalment, Chapter 4: Sensorial Sustainability, we explore a simple but powerful idea: sustainable choices shouldn’t feel like a sacrifice. Instead, brands can tap into nature’s textures, sounds and sensory cues to make greener choices more desirable, engaging and enjoyable.

As pressure continues to mount across the agency landscape, performance is no longer just about output or speed — it’s about creating environments where people can do their best work consistently, without burnout. Mark Watson, tms' Managing Director, Europe, International Portfolio and Global Holistic Packaging, dicusses the growing role of coaching and performance psychology at agencies in The Drum, sharing a candid perspective on whether coaching delivers value: 💭 “The value of consultants is often defined less by them and more by those hiring them. Specifically, a genuine commitment to change. Investing time and money in consultants while eschewing their insight, then wondering why nothing changes, is akin to hiring personal trainers, never doing the workouts, and questioning why you’re not stronger.” Mark emphasizes that who you appoint matters – but real impact only happens when leadership is willing to listen, reflect, and act on feedback.

We recently hosted the European Packaging Supplier Forum in Amsterdam, bringing together supplier partners and industry leaders for two days of collaboration and strategic discussion. At tms, our role is to connect partners across the packaging ecosystem – creating the space for dialogue, insight-sharing, and innovation that strengthens supply chain performance and supports the customer experience. The forum focused on partnership, operational excellence, and future opportunities in packaging, while also recognizing supplier contributions through a Supplier Recognition Awards celebration.

What does it take for coaching and consulting to drive meaningful change inside agencies? 💭 In a new feature for The Drum, tms’ Managing Director, Mark Watson, weighs in on the growing conversation around performance psychology – and the conditions required for coaching to truly work: "The value of consultants is often defined less by them and more by those hiring them. Specifically, a genuine commitment to change. Investing time and money in consultants while eschewing their insight, then wondering why nothing changes, is akin to hiring personal trainers, never doing the workouts, and questioning why you’re not stronger." Last Thursday, our office got a little louder, a lot more curious, and way more fun. 🧒👧 We welcomed the next generation to tms’ Chicago HQ for “Bring your kids to work day”, giving them a front‑row seat to what we do and how creativity sits at the heart of everything we build. 🎨 From behind-the-scenes peeks at our work to hands-on activities, it was a day that celebrated the families who make tms what it is – at work and at home. ❤️
