Across the NTDs response, professionals and practitioners have spent years learning, solving complex challenges, building partnerships, and driving change. Now, that knowledge can help shape the next generation of NTD leaders. As part of #YouthNTDsFellowship Cohort 2, we are inviting professionals and practitioners to mentor emerging young leaders through meaningful knowledge exchange, guidance, and professional development. We welcome mentors with backgrounds in #NTDs, #PublicHealth, #OneHealth, research, policy, advocacy, community engagement, innovation, and related fields. Mentorship offers an opportunity to share perspectives, challenge new thinking, provide practical guidance, and help emerging leaders navigate their professional journeys with greater clarity and confidence. If you have expertise and experience to share, we invite you to contribute to the development of the next generation of NTD leaders 🌟 🔗 Become a mentor: https://lnkd.in/dvqWTsKD Cohort 2 of the #YouthNTDsFellowship is a joint initiative with One Health Society-Tanzania, bringing together 30 emerging young leaders from Tanzania and Kenya for a 12-week fellowship focused on strengthening knowledge, practical skills, and leadership across NTDs and related health and development priorities. #YNTDsLeadership #BeatNTDs #YouthLeadership #Youth4Health #OneHealth

The #YouthNTDsFellowship is preparing to open its next chapter with Cohort 2, creating a new opportunity for young people to deepen their knowledge, strengthen their leadership, and contribute meaningfully to #NTDsElimination. The first cohort, implemented by One Health Society-Tanzania in Tanzania, demonstrated the impact of investing in young people and creating meaningful pathways for them to learn, lead, and engage in the NTDs response. Building on this foundation, the fellowship is now expanding through collaboration with #GANE, strengthening cross-border youth leadership and creating opportunities for young leaders across Tanzania and Kenya to connect, learn, lead, and contribute to the goal of ending NTDs. 📅 Applications open: 15 September 2026. If you are a young person passionate about health, leadership, and making a difference in the fight against #NTDs, Cohort 2 is an opportunity to watch. Stay tuned for more updates 📲 #YNTDsLeadership #BeatNTDs #YouthLeadership #Youth4Health #OneHealth

Small grants can create big opportunities — and lasting impact. An emerging health leader has an opportunity to present their work at a conference. A Fellow identifies a way to strengthen or expand a community health project. An ASF alum needs specialized training or a certification that will help them take the next step in their leadership. Sometimes, the opportunity is there. The funding isn’t. The ASF Catalyst Fund was created to help close that gap. Through rapid-response mini-grants of $250–$2,000, the Fund gives ASF Fellows and alumni flexible resources for leadership development, training, certifications, conference participation, publications, equipment, and community-based project needs. When you invest in the Catalyst Fund, you’re not simply paying for an expense. You’re investing in the people, ideas, and partnerships that can improve health across Alabama. Help us ensure that when opportunity comes, our Fellows and alumni are able to say YES. Invest in leaders. Strengthen Alabama. Be the catalyst. ➡️ Give today by texting "CATALYSTFUND" to 44-321 or clicking here: https://lnkd.in/gizQPfDT #ASFAlabama #ASFCatalystFund #HealthLeadership #CommunityHealth #InvestInLeaders #Alabama

It was an honour to share about what resilience and self care looks like and how it integrates into Disability Mainstreaming. Sharing from my own experience and work within the Disability Mainstreaming and Advocacy work at Sightsavers Any leader will definitely feel like giving up when things are not working right, but it is even much more, most times, when it involves Advocating for Disability Inclusion programming. Part of the larger solution for enhancing resilience and safe care is in considering an Inclusive approach. When persons with Disabilities and the marginalized communities are fully part of the design and not just a checklist item to tick, it ensures acceptance by all. Involving everyone ensures that success and burdens of the intervention are shared and thus reducing the burn outs for the leaders and programme team. Sightsavers

One of my favorite things about our Emerging Leaders Program has been watching participants realize that they don’t have to navigate leadership challenges alone. Week after week, leaders from different organizations have brought real challenges into the room -- managing teams, making difficult decisions, navigating change -- and their peers have responded with ideas, encouragement, and often the simple reassurance of, “we’re dealing with that too.” And increasingly, those relationships are continuing outside the program itself. For me, it’s been such a powerful reminder that leadership development isn’t only about the tools and frameworks we can teach. It’s also about creating the space for leaders to learn from one another and build a community they can continue to turn to long after a program ends. We’re now bringing that experience to a new group of leaders through our Fall 2026 Emerging Leaders cohort, beginning later this month. Applications are open here: https://lnkd.in/g8aN7VqW Solomon Makuza Daraja Partners Aturinda Sonia NAMA HEALTH IMPACT Izumi Foundation Gretchen Stoddard Dr Chadwink Ochieng Lwala Community Alliance Julia Ayaya Dandelion Africa
Leadership challenges can feel isolating -- but they don’t have to be faced alone. One of the most powerful things we’ve seen through our Emerging Leaders Program is what happens when leaders from different organizations have the space to learn from one another, share the challenges they’re navigating, and realize that many of the questions they’re wrestling with are shared. As we discussed during our recent Beyond the Founder & CEO panel, leadership development isn’t only about learning new frameworks and skills. It’s also about building a community of peers you can turn to for perspective, encouragement, and practical solutions. We’re excited to bring that same experience to our Fall 2026 Emerging Leaders Program, beginning the week of September 28. If you’re an emerging nonprofit leader across Sub-Saharan Africa -- or know someone who would benefit from this kind of community -- we’d love to hear from you. Digital equity grows when young people are recognized as leaders and communities have the tools to turn access into opportunity. IDRA Digital Ambassadors is expanding to San Antonio in partnership with Empower House and with support from GFiber. Over six months, high school students will research community technology priorities, build on their digital skills and prepare to lead hands-on technology training for adults in their communities.
