A simple, ancient way to read the library of Scripture

The Lectio Bible was created to help you read the Bible differently – slowly, prayerfully, and attuned to the Spirit’s voice.
Chapters, verses, and subheadings are gone, and footnotes are moved to the end of each book, so you can read quietly and calmly before Jesus.
The uninterrupted design encourages you to read through to natural literary seams, promoting deeper understanding of key biblical themes.
Read as part of a contemplative practice like Lectio Divina, or experience Scripture as it was originally shared — out loud, in community, as a story.
Living outside the U.S.? Fill out this form to start a bulk order for your community.

The early disciples of Jesus coined the phrase Lectio Divina, Latin for “spiritual reading,” to describe a way of reading for formation, not just information. And The Lectio Bible is designed to help do just that.
If we read Scripture the way we read everything else – impatient, hurried, and analytical – we may find it dry and tedious. Scripture becomes just one more task on our religious to-do list, and we miss the experience of sitting at Jesus’ feet.
But if we come at it in a different way – with hearts slowed down, open to Jesus, and aimed at surrender – Scripture can become a dynamic channel to God.
