- 3. EDI is stands for “Electronic data Interchange”.It is based on E-commerce through which any file or document can be exchanged into formate .this special formate is known as EDI formate. Under EDI we transeform any business related information or message from one computer to other in a standard electronic formate.
- 5. BASICS OR COMPONENT OF EDI Basic or component of EDI:-there are three EDI component used in E-commerce which perform EDI process:- 1. TRADING PARTNER 2. TRANSACTION SOFTWARE 3. COMMUNICATION
- 7. Under business organisation,trading partner EDI formate is used to exchange business related information data or document.
- 9. TRANSACTION SOFTWARE In E-commerce,transaction software is used to convert transaction related information or files.
- 11. Communication is made up of software and hardware of document of each trading partner. The network used for this communication is known as value added network.
- 13. 1. The relation between customer related services(like cost setting,selling report)and trading partner is managed by EDI. 2. Financial management like cash flow related data,cash payment related data and capital related data are managed by EDI. 3. Inventory control is improved by EDI. Inventory related data, created stocks and process of unit are managed on the basis of on line base. 4. Through EDI,modification in cost set for management control product,automatic tray business related data and control processing company process and their cost are managed through management control on the basis of on line base.
- 14. 1. Finance and Accounting:- Representation of Reporting of text or Document related process credit and debit card related memo and invoice price are come under finance and Accounting. 2. Insurance:- Enrollment insurance premium related transaction are presented under this. 3. Inventory management:- With in this stock of product,unit and inventory report,facility to transfer of product etc concept are managed.
- 15. 4. Marketing:- Representation of quality,and price related concepts,purchasing,report,sales category and EDI selling price are come under marketing. 5. Purchasing:- purchaing order,purchasing return,cash purchasing etc related concepts are handled under purchasing.
